Nurlan Medetov, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, has been appointed the rector of Toraighyrov University.

The new head was introduced to the staff of  Pavlodar university by Madiyar Kozhakhmet, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan. He noted Nurlan Medetov's extensive experience in the field of higher education and outlined the tasks facing the rector and the staff of the university.

Nurlan Amirovich Medetov is a native of the Kostanay region. In 2000, he graduated with honors from Kostanay State University named after A. Baitursynov. Under the Bolashak program, he studied for the PhD degree at the National Research University "Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology". Over the years, he held various managerial positions. From 2022 until his appointment to a new position, he was vice-rector for academic affairs at Ualikhanov University
