A “round table” on the topic “Law and Order” was held at Toraighyrov University with the participation of representatives from the Pavlodar Regional Department of Justice, focusing on improving legal literacy among young people.

The opening address was delivered by the Acting Chairman of the Board – Rector of ToU, Nurlan Yerzhanov.

“Today in Kazakhstan, the principle of ‘Law and Order’ is being actively implemented, aimed at increasing legal awareness in society and preventing offenses. That is why at Toraighyrov University we make every effort to maintain a dialogue with representatives of the Department of Justice, law enforcement officers, and practicing lawyers. This provides students and young professionals with the opportunity to gain up-to-date knowledge and understand complex legal issues,” he noted.

Speakers included Igor Tarasenko, representative of the Commissioner for Human Rights in Pavlodar Region; Daniyar Baydildin, Acting Head of the Pavlodar Regional Department of Justice; representatives of the department’s legal awareness and enforcement divisions; and a legal consultant from the Chamber of Legal Consultants of Pavlodar Region.

The speakers emphasized that today the goal is to form a society in which every citizen is aware of their rights, respects the law, and acts within the legal framework. The ability to understand legal matters and grasp the legal consequences of one’s decisions forms the foundation for a successful career and responsible citizenship.
