Toraighyrov University and Anhalt University of Applied Sciences will launch a double degree program and joint research projects.
A delegation from Anhalt University of Applied Sciences visited Toraighyrov University the day before. Working meetings were held on the launch of double degree programs at the Bachelor level in German in the areas of energetics and automation, mechanical engineering, as well as a Master's program in automation and energetics.
“We have been actively interacting with this university for the second year now and have drawn up a plan according to which we will move forward. We were interested in the double degree program. We are ready to work together with the German side. Both universities will benefit from exchanging students as part of the academic mobility program. Here you can also think about internships for teachers. By supporting each other, scientists from two universities will be able to apply their knowledge and, possibly, commercialize it”, noted the rector of the university, Yerkin Sadykov.
It is worth noting that in June 2023, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the German Federal Foreign Office as part of the visit of the German President to Kazakhstan.
The delegation from Germany, represented by Eduard Siemens, a professor at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, and teacher Anastasia Sapega, coordinated the curriculum with representatives of Toraighyrov University, and also discussed the possibility of ToU students taking part in academic mobility and double-degree education programs.
In addition, the parties considered the potential for joint scientific research under grant programs funded by both Kazakhstan and Germany. Also, a delegation from the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences visited the business facilities of Pavlodar: “ASUEP” LLP and “Incom Company’ LLP.
