Roman Tkachuk, a student of Toraighyrov University, became the first in the individual competition at the 21st championship of Kazakhstan in ice fishing with ice jig.  The annual championship was held in Kostanay.  The Pavlodar region was represented by 9 people - two teams and a fisherman in the individual competition.

In the team event, representatives of Pavlodar region won the bronze, which allowed Roman to win a ticket to the national team of the Republic of Kazakhstan to participate in the World Championship in ice fishing with ice jig, which will be held in Mongolia in 2024.

 - The team consists of three people, that is, three sectors for three hours.  The competition is held in two rounds of three hours, where the winner is determined.  Each has its own position, flags.  Just like that, with the help of luck, you won’t be able to win.  I want to say a big thank you to my team, coaches, only teamwork can give personal growth to every athlete in any sport!  - says Roman Tkachuk.
