The staff of the museum complex designed a photo exhibition "Do you remember how it all began?" in the foyer of the student philharmonic dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Toraighyrov University.

There are over 70 photographs showing the history of the university since the 60s.  These are photographs of the first student construction brigades, scientific conferences, a variety orchestra, buildings under construction, etc. Most of the photographs were donated to the museum by veterans, something was kept in the museum's funds.   Cameras of those years, students' notes and graduation projects, drafting and ink sets, Komsomol badges, the first construction brigade suits, many rare attributes and things of that period are presented at the exhibition.

  - About 15 years ago, we found in our archaeological museum a suitcase with photographs under the reconstruction of the kimak burial.  By the 60th anniversary of the university, we decided to scan the most significant and interesting photographs, - says the guide of the museum complex Bulbul Assaeva.  - For the first time, we reviewed its contents with delight. "In ten years it will be even more valuable" - we decided, and again placed back until required.

In an old suitcase, worn from time to time, the common history of the two universities was kept.

“There was a period in the history of our university when two largest institutes - industrial and pedagogical - were united.  It is important for us to show the atmosphere of the time when everything began. Many, perhaps, recognize themselves in these photographs, someone will remember their student years and their fellow students”, added B. Assaeva

Due to the quarantine, there will be no official opening, the organizers say, but the photo exhibition is available to the public.
