The round table "Territory of Tolerance" was held at the Department of "Assembly of People of Kazakhstan" at Toraighyrov University.

The discussion was attended by academic experts from the regional APK Valentina Shatova, chairperson of the ethnocultural association of Bulgarians, Andrea Sealey Lynn, an English language teacher, as well as university students and graduates.

The participants discussed the problems of tolerance formation and the basis of the spiritual and cultural community of the people of Kazakhstan.

With reports on the tradition of tolerance in the culture of the people of Kazakhstan, and the sociocultural phenomenon itself, the head of the APK department of the university, Doctor of History Saule Mamytova and Dr. PhD, associate professor of the Department of Philosophy and Social Disciplines and Humanities Saltanat Aubakirova.

In conclusion, the participants in the meeting agreed that tolerance is an important factor in moving towards peace and harmony, integration and modernization, well-being and prosperity of Kazakhstan society.

Recall that the International Day of Tolerance has been celebrated since 1995 at the initiative of UNESCO. The main goal is to spread the idea of mutual respect and interethnic harmony.
