A seminar by the deputy head of the International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects in the field of science and education, Doctor of Economics, professor, academician of the NEA RK Gulbazar Medieva was held at S.Toraigyrov Pavlodar State University.

The guests were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovations, Doctor of Biological Sciences Nurlan Yerzhanov.

The event was also attended by experts of the center, scientists and students of PSU.

Issues of the development of the “green economy” were discussed during the meeting.

According to G. Medieva, as industrial and energy enterprises are concentrated in Pavlodar region, the main purpose of the visit was to prepare for conducting technological research to switch to the best available technologies that will help to reduce emissions to the environment.

Speaking about promising areas in the green economy, the use of geothermal energy was separately considered, where the use of thermal energy of the Earth’s interior was taken as the basis for the production of electric energy.
