All activities relating to curriculum support and development are carried out in accordance with the work plans of the Department, Faculty, Curriculum and Instruction Division, and the Academic Council of the University.

The Department's work is in line with the work plan of the Faculty. There are plans and reports, minutes of meetings of the Department. There is an approved catalog of elective courses for the educational programs and the schedule of studying them by years of study and blocks. There are instructional guidelines and programs for special courses and seminars.

There are instructional guidelines for practical classes in special and professional disciplines.

All course programs have been drawn up in accordance with the state educational standard, model and working plans of the educational programs.

Members of the Department are constantly working to improve the quality of educational process. They have developed a set of electronic learning materials for fundamental and special courses.

 

 

Research

Main fields of research conducted by members of the Department of History:

1. Formation and development of entrepreneurship in Kazakhstan: the history and historiography.

2. Chronology.

3. Methodological problems of historiography of Kazakhstan.

4. Regional studies. Socio-political movement.

5. Migration processes in Kazakhstan.

6. The history of the national liberation movements in the region.

 

The Department organizes archaeological and ethnographic expeditions in Pavlodar region in cooperation with G.N. Potanin Regional Studies Museum.
