The following students work under the supervision of Professor F.P. Paramonov within the Zhas Ghalym project: A.G. Eyvazova, Y.M. Isabekova, A.M. Izuyeva, V.P. Motayeva, A.S. Lutsenko, M.A. Niyazbekova. Research project title: Monitoring of Drinking Water Quality in Pavlodar. The following students work under the supervision of E.Ye. Kopishev: R.A. Begaliyev, O.Ye. Mukashev, Z.Zh. Maramova. Research projects titles: Creation of Devices and Accessories for Manufacturing a New-type Television Screen on the Basis of Phase Transitions in Solutions of the Stimulus-responsive Polymers; Systems of Displaying and Outputting Information on the Basis of Polyelectrolyte Hydrogels. Students write research articles, submit them for publication, participate in performance of research projects, and take part in competitions and contests of various levels.

Students of KhTOV-402 group took part in the national academic competition for students in 050721 Chemical Technology of Organic Substances which took place on March 29-30, 2011 at Al-Farabi KazNU (Almaty). The team consisted of 5 members and 1 supervisor, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Professor Zhapargazinova K.Kh. The PSU team took the second place.

In March-April 2011, an Amadeus Basic Course training was held by Amadeus Training Center Amadeus GIS. Lecturer: Nazgul Smatova (citizen of Kyrgyzstan). It was held for employees of tourist companies, students and members of the Faculty. 4 Master's degree students I.V. Sidorova, A.A. Zhaglovskaya, Z.G. Kamshybayeva, and G. Utenova had a research training in the Association for Education Development in Prague (Czech Republic).

Members of the Department of Geography and Tourism (Prof. K.T. Saparov, G.K. Kasenova, A.Ye. Yeginbayeva, and Sh.G. Kairova) and students (Ye. Nurtayev, Ye. Khammetov, and A. Nazhekenova) took part in the panel session on tourism at the IV Astana Economic Forum (May 3-4, 2011).

Students of Tur-201 group A. Abakova and A. Yesenbayeva presented a poster within the anti-corruption competition and received a prize.

Forum "My Victory for My Country" took place at Daulet sports complex in Astana on December 8, 2010. There was also a conference at the central office of Nur Otan PDP which was attended by year 3 students Ye.S. Nurtayev and Ye.Zh. Khammetov.

Anastasiya Golovataya and Zhulduz Kaliakbarova won the second prizes and the third prizes respectively at the National competition of graduation theses for students majoring in chemistry and engineering held at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan State University.

Tur-102 group students took the third place in the Tourism Algha competition dedicated to the World Tourism Day in November 2013.

Undergraduate and graduate students of the Department of Geography and Tourism received letters of appreciation for active participation in the Exhibition of Tourist Opportunities in Pavlodar Region, diploma of the winner in the Best Exhibition Stand nomination (November 2013).

Aynura Mukanova, a Master's degree student from MG-22n, received a letter of appreciation from the Rector of S. Toraighyrov PSU Serik Omirbayev for the second place at the competition devoted to the International Tolerance Day.

Students from Tur-102 won the National Academic Competition in Tourism in the Graphic Design nomination (April 2014, Karaganda).

Students took part in the International Online Roundtable Conference on the Benefits of Tourism for People and received certificates (Darkhan Isenkin, Tur-302). Representative from 5 countries (Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan) took part in the event.

Students from Tur-302 took part in the International Scientific and Practical Online Conference on World AIDS Day and received certificates. There were representatives from Russia (Trans-Baikal State University, Chita), Ukraine (Azov State Technical University, Mariupol; Donbass State University, Slavyansk), Kyrgyzstan (Jalal-Abad State University, Jalal-Abad).

Students took an active part in the 1st International Youth Scientific and Practical Online Conference on Modern Problems of Tourism Development. Bachelor's degree student Darya Mulyavka (G-202) and Master's degree student Viktoriya Sendetskaya.

Students took part in the National Academic Competition in Biology for Students Majoring in 5В060700 Biology held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and received a 3rd place diploma and certificate of participation. Team members: Diana Ghalymzhankyzy (B-302), Madina Zhunusova (B-202), and Mukarram Zhusip (B-201). Team supervisor: Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Biology and Ecology A.B. Kaliyeva.
