History of the Department
The Department was founded in 1997 as a result of a merger of two departments (Mechanical Engineering Technology and Metal-Cutting Machines and Tools, both founded in 1962).
Ivan Shumeyko, Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Professor, was in charge of the Department from 2002 to 2011. Since August 2011, the Department has been headed by Zhanar Yksan, Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Associate Professor.
A major contribution to the development of the Department has been made by its former members: Temirtay Baymagambetov (Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Professor), Anatoliy Proskuryakov (Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Professor), Nikolay Stepanovich Dudak (Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Professor), Murat Aukenov (Senior Lecturer).

She defended her Candidate's dissertation in 05.03.01 Technology and Equipment for Mechanical and Physical-Technical Processing (Diploma FK No. 0006639 dated March 31, 2011). Associate Professor of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University (title conferred by the Academic Council of the University in January 2011, Minutes No.7).
Courses taught: Technology of Machines Manufacturing; Professional Kazakh Language; Fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering Technology; Standardization, Metrology and Certification Systems
Professional experience: 32 years.
Publications: The patents for inventions, published a textbook, articles, methodological developments in the amount of more than 60.
Field of research: improving hole processing precision
Professional achievements: Professor of Russian Academy of Natural History, Gold medal "European Quality".. She participated in the program of training and career development of managers of Kazakhstan higher educational institutions: from 30 June to 4 July, 2015, Nazarbayev University, Astana; from 07 to 11 July, 2015. Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
