Representatives of Toraighyrov University became participants in the field meeting of the regional environmental council, which took place in the Bayanaul region.

The meeting of the members of the eco-council took place in the Bayanaul National Natural Park.  Akim of Pavlodar region Abylkair Skakov and vice minister of ecology, geology and natural resources Aliya Shalabekova became the chairpersons of the meeting.  On behalf of ToU, Associate Professor of the Department of Agricultural Technologies Viktor Kamkin spoke at the meeting.  He presented data on the current tourist flow and an assessment of the attractiveness of the main tourist areas of the region.

According to the professor, today the flow of tourists to the Pavlodar region is almost 209 thousand people.  Most of them - almost 109 thousand - are domestic tourists.  About 90 thousand are guests from  Karaganda region and Nur-Sultan.  As for the general attractiveness of the tourist areas of the Irtysh region, the Bayanaul National Park received 79 points from experts, the Ertis Ormany reserve - 81 points, and the floodplain of the Irtysh River - 95 points.

In order to fully unlock the tourist potential of Bayanaul, ToU representatives proposed to introduce new tourist routes.  These are, for example, the routes “Along the paths of history”, which includes the grotto of Dravert, the rock of Atbasy and the grave of Zhasybay, and “Birds of Sabyndykol”, which includes walking, riding horses and cycling.

Experts propose to launch a new - botanical - route in the Ertis ormany reserve.  It consists of six destinations and lies at a distance of 49 kilometers.  Going along this route, tourists will see all the beauties of the tape forest.

The meeting of the Ecological Council ended with the honoring of ecologists in honor of their past professional holiday, which is celebrated in Kazakhstan on June 5.  On behalf of the Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources Serikkali Brekeshev, Vice-Rector of Toraighyrov University for Science and Innovation Nurlan Yerzhanov was also awarded a certificate of honor.
